Investment company Mezzanine Management extended in late June a EUR 10 mln long-term credit to Telelink, a Bulgarian system integrator and provider of turnkey solutions in the telecommunications market, reports news portal mergermarket.com. In exchange for the loan, Mezzanine Management has acquired a minority stake in the Bulgarian company. The resource is provided to fund Telelink's future regional and product expansion. Telelink, 99%-owned by a Gibraltar-registered company, refused to specify the interest sold to the investment company. In the aftermath of the Mezzanine Management investment, Telelink is considering the possibilities of stock exchange listing, said Lyubomir Minchev, deputy executive director of the Bulgarian company. In February 2006, Telelink said it had entered the telecom markets in Romania and Ukraine. In Bulgaria, Telelink is one of the main suppliers for the deployment of the cellular networks of OTE-owned GloBul and BTC, the former telecom monopoly. The company is also involved the rollout of BTC's metropolitan area network.
