In the week May 5 to 11 commercial banks boosted their lending activities, central bank data show. Fresh credits amounted to BGN 63.7 million, which was 2.36 time more than in the preceding week. The increase resulted from higher volumes of lev-denominated short- and long-term credits extended to companies. The amount of new short-term credits stood at BGN 33.6 million, of which 92% were corporate loans. Long-term credits amounted to BGN 30.1 million, of which 46.5% were corporate loans.
