Navigation Maritime Bulgare, Bulgaria's state-owned maritime carrier, said 2006 net profit fell more than twofold YoY to BGN 18.8m. Operating costs rose to BGN 432.8m from BGN 414m a year ago. The value of the company's transportation vessels book value is at BGN 730.7m while overall assets fell below BGN 1bn. The carrier, which is facing privatisation, disposed of assets worth BGN 21m last year.
