Navibulgar started negotiations with Bulyard-Shipbuilding Industry over co-operation in the production of sea vessels. Construction of two ships of the type 'Bulgarka' is on the schedule, Bulyard's director Zlatko Bakalov announced. Bulyard took over the shipyard in Varna six months ago and for this period a total of BGN 1.1 million have been invested. Another USD 3.0 million will be allocated to the unit in 2005. The company will construct a Trapezitsa ship by the end of the next year. At present it is working on completion of three other vessels that were started yet before 1999, when the Varna shipyard was declared bankrupt. Yesterday the company made the sea launch of the first Bulgarian gas carrier with capacity for transporting 2,200 cu. m. of liquid gas.
