Over the first seven months of 2002, Bulgaria's foreign debt grew by USD 4.6 million to USD 10.631 billion compared to the end of 2001.

This is according of official data of BNB, announced yesterday. The public debt of the country in the end of July was in the amount of USD 8.376 billion. It has been reduced by 3 per cent since the beginning of the year. The foreign debts of the private sector are in the amount of USD 2.254 billion, they have grown by USD 265.3 million compared to the end of 2001.
