Franco-German concern Saint-Gobain Weber, active in the design, production and distribution of functional materials, will invest EUR 5m in a factory for construction mixes and mortar paste near Kostinbrod, Western Bulgaria. The facility, expected to produce 100 000 tons of construction materials annually, will occupy 3ha of land and will comprise production hangars, warehouses, offices and related buildings. An additional EUR 1.5m should be invested in 2009 to expand the product range of the factory. The output will be sold exclusively on local market. The factory will use only locally-supplied raw materials.
