The State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission postponed again the license revocation for the end suppliers CEZ Electro [1CZ], Energo-Pro Sales [4ES] and EVN Electrosnabdiavane [not listed] to give enough time to the companies to present their position. The regulator scheduled a new public hearing for 12 May. This is the second time the regulator postpones the public hearing. The licence revocation procedure was triggered by the complaint from the National Electric Company that Energo-Pro Sales, CEZ Electro and EVN Electrosnabdiavane have not paid to the public supplier liabilities amounting to BGN 318m. Energo-Pro Sales and EVN Electrosnabdiavane have started netting-off their payables to NEK with the uncompensated cost for renewable energy, while CEZ Electro has delayed payments and has requested that NEK pays-off its liabilities. A month ago, the liabilities of the 3 companies amounted to BGN 347.6m, including BGN 216.6m of EVN Electrosnabdiavane, BGN 63.7m of CEZ Electro and BGN 67.3m of Energo-Pro Sales. The end suppliers are basing their moves on the final decision of the Supreme Administrative Court which declared illegal the “methodology for compensating the expenses of the public supplier and the end suppliers, occurred as a result of their obligations to buy the electricity produced from renewable energy sources and cogeneration facilities”.
