Sofia Mayor Sofianski criticized the government's policy on the municipal budgets during a visit in Bulgarian city Russe. In his opinion, this policy will lead to a crisis in the public services sector. He projected that the living standard of the Bulgarians will get worse in 2003 and will reach its 1999 level. Sofianski announced that the Union of Free Democrats will be ready in May with the lists for the local elections in October. The political organization was established in the end of 2001 and Sofianski was unanimously elected its political leader. Stefan Sofianski who already has two mandates as a Sofia mayor, recently announced that he will run for a third mandate at the local elections this autumn.
