The Antitrust Commission has imposed a BGN 7k sanction to Orgachim AD – Rousse for violation of the Competition Protection Act. The proceedings have been initiated by Lackprom AD, a rival producer of latex paint for internal decoration. In July 2005 Orgachim distributed a brochure in which one of Lackprom’s paint brands has been juxtaposed to Orgachim brand of paint. The analysis of the Commission showed that the brochure does not correspond to actual characteristics of products. The Antitrust Commission considers Orgachim conduct belies the good commercial practice and have aimed to harm Lackprom’s name.
