The foreign tourist arrivals increased by 20.0% YoY in November 2016

The foreign tourist visits in Bulgaria increased by 20.0% YoY in November 2016, reaching 524.1k. The business trips increased by 25.2% YoY, the holiday visits grew by 21.6% YoY, and other purpose trips added 16.9% YoY. The visits from EU-member states increased by 29.3% YoY and accounted for 56.6% of the total foreign tourist arrivals during the month. The most significant increase among the visits from EU-member countries was registered in the visits from Spain (60.9%), Greece (47.1%), and Germany (45.0%). The visits from European non-EU member states increased by 7.8% YoY, with the highest increase registered in the number of visits from Macedonia, up by 14.3% YoY.
