The total assets managed by investment funds registered in Bulgaria reached BGN 3.0bn as of end-Q1’17, solid 27% YoY increase

The total assets managed by investment funds registered in Bulgaria increased by 27.4 % YoY to BGN 3.0bn as of end-Q1 2017. Approximately BGN 1.1bn (36.6%) of the assets were managed by Bulgarian investment funds, up by 39.2% YoY. The investments in shares of the Bulgarian funds increased by 51.4% on an annual basis to BGN 400.2m, the investments in deposits grew by 37.5% YoY to BGN 289.7m, and the other investments added 23.8% to 274.5m. The investments in Bulgarian securities were 67.4% of the total investments of the funds, opposed to 71.4% as of end-Q1 2016.
