The process of granting concessions on Varna and Bourgas airports is being delayed by the unsettled problems about airport fees. The problem is that the parliament transport commission did not vote the amendments of the Civil Aviation Act. The draft envisaged that the fees from airport landing and transit passengers be collected by the future concessionaire. Sofia airport is the only exception. The fees there will be collected until the international loan for its reconstruction is sunk.
