Unemployment in Bulgaria has continued its steady decrease for a ninth month, reaching 8.44% in September. The level is already close to the EU level where unemployment stood at 8.0% in August. Unemployment rate in September dropped by 0.30 points m/m and by 2.05 points y/y. A total of 312,753 people were registered as jobless with the labour bureaus, down by 11K compared with August. For the past one year the number of the unemployed has declined by 75,795 people.
